Year 1

Description:

In thin module, you will learn how to work in teams and to work together. You will complete reports as a team and learn research and validate your sources. This module will teach you to communicate effectively, teamwork, interpersonal communications and report writing.

Duration:

One semester.
B classes take this module on their first term while A classes take on their second term.

Projects:

Students, in groups of five, will have to write a report about a technological advancement and it's uses and impacts in Harvard Style report.

Description:

All students learn a branch of mathematics associated with computers, programming, and logic known as Discrete Mathematics. Students will learn topics such matrices, probability, logic, and number systems.

One semester.

Projects:

Students, in gorups of three, will write a report on and invent a cryptographic system based on mathematics.

Description:

This module teaches students in storing, managing, and displaying information in databases.

CA1:

Write a proposal of a database for a commercial business.

CA2:

Implement the proposal written in CA1 in Microsoft SQL.

Description:

In this module, students learn to plan, design, and develop their own webpages in HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JS.

One Semester.

CA1:

Design and develop a website using HTML5 and CSS3

CA2:

Update website designed in CA1 with additional features and effect and implement responsive design with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and JQuery.

Description:

Students learn the basics of networking such as netwrok devices and protocols.

One semester.

Projects:

Design a proposal of a network for a business.

Description:

Students learn to program in Java.

Duration

One semester.

Projects:

Program and develop a Java Chatbot

Description:

Learn the basics of a computer. Learn the basic computer hardware and software.

One semester.

Projects:

Make a video explaining a Computer Architecture and Operating Systems topic.

Description:

Students learn to program in Python and C.

CA1:

Program a password-recovery tool.

CA2:

Design serverside and clientside programs.
